Berkadia is hiring a Senior Engineer, Machine Learning to advance Berkie and our generative AI initiatives. You’ll design and scale production ML systems, partner with product, data, and cloud teams, and apply cutting-edge techniques to real estate data.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software development experience with a focus on Python.
• Experience building traditional ML models and generative AI systems.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and MLOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain production-ready ML systems using generative and traditional techniques.
• Architect end-to-end AI solutions for intelligent document processing and information retrieval.
• Drive development of Berkie, Berkadia’s generative AI platform, enabling access to proprietary data.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and data teams to translate problems into scalable AI solutions.
• Write maintainable code using Python and modern cloud infrastructure; employ notebooks for experimentation.
• Establish and contribute to MLOps practices: deployment, monitoring, observability, and continuous improvement.
• Participate in peer reviews, design discussions, and team learning sessions to share knowledge.
• Document system designs and decisions to improve clarity and reproducibility.
