Job summary

Spring Health, a global mental health company, seeks a Senior Machine Learning Engineer in San Francisco. You will help build and scale a centralized AI platform powering care capabilities, with responsibilities spanning tooling, deployment, and MLOps. Hybrid work with 2–3 days in the office, relocation-friendly in SF Bay Area.

You will mentor engineers, participate in on-call rotations, and partner with ML teams to modernize GenAI practices while improving platform adoption and DX.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field with focus on AI/ML.
• 4–6 years of Python development experience with GenAI and ML libraries.
• Experience maintaining and configuring engineering tools, including a Kubernetes stack.
• Experience driving generalized platform adoption and improving Developer Experience.
• Ability to architect end-to-end solutions as a lead in enterprise settings.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and explain complex ideas to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate to build and scale the AI platform, tooling, and best practices for GenAI deployment.
• Monitor uptime and high availability of AI/ML tools and platform features.
• Prioritize backlog to accelerate centralized AI platform adoption.
• Serve as technical advocate, participate in on-call rotations and cross-functional groups.
• Lead refactoring of key platform services and enforce coding standards.
• Partner with ML teams to modernize MLOps practices and tooling.
• Drive cross-team collaboration to accelerate platform adoption by feature teams.
• Troubleshoot cloud (AWS/Azure) and Kubernetes infrastructure issues.
