Job summary

Torc Robotics is seeking a senior data/ML engineer to own the offline dataset pipeline for VLM/VLA training. You will design, implement, and deploy cloud-based pipelines that convert multi-sensor data into training datasets, spanning 3D/2D detection to semantic annotations.

You will also develop open-vocabulary auto-labeling and language-grounded reasoning labels, aligned with ego-motion data to support driving models.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field plus competences typically acquired through 6+ years of experience; OR Master’s Degree in a related technical field plus competences typically acquired through 3+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Own the offline dataset pipeline across cloud-based pipelines for VLM/VLA training data.
• Build VLM-assisted auto-labeling using open-vocabulary detectors and description generation.
• Generate reasoning-grounded labels aligned to ego-motion and trajectories for VLA training.
