Job summary

ASUS Robotics & AI Center in Boston seeks a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to lead the design and delivery of computer vision and perception systems for our autonomous platforms. You will mentor teammates, guide architecture and tooling, and drive production ML pipelines from research to deployment across robotics and software teams in a hybrid office setting.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in ML for CV or perception, strong Python and PyTorch/JAX skills, OpenCV, and practical MLOps

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, electrical engineering, robotics, or related field.
8+ years of industry experience developing and deploying machine learning models for computer vision or perception applications.
Experience leading ML/vision projects and delivering production systems.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of ML systems for computer vision and perception tasks.
Optimize models for real-time performance on embedded and edge platforms.
Build and maintain perception pipelines integrating data from cameras and sensors.
Evaluate state-of-the-art techniques in deep learning, object detection, and visual tracking.
Guide architecture decisions and tooling across the team.
Design experiments, including simulation and field testing, to validate models.
Maintain datasets, pipelines, and tools for training and deployment.
Collaborate with robotics, systems, and software engineers to deliver production-ready solutions.
