AZX is seeking a Senior ML Engineer to build reusable ML libraries and the underlying simulation and grid-data tooling that power our utility-focused projects. You will own end-to-end capabilities from model development to the CI/CD and open-source tooling that teams rely on.

You'll collaborate across real-world engagements, iterate quickly on data pipelines, and contribute to a fast-growing, profitable, mission-driven company with Seattle-area teammates and fully remote culture.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of shipping applied ML on real-world signals across forecasting, disaggregation, detection or related modeling.
• Strong numerical and scientific computing skills with feature engineering and robust validation.
• Proficiency in Python and a systems language (Rust); experience with PyO3/maturin is a plus.
• Building reusable, well-documented APIs and libraries used by other engineers.
• Willingness to handle data engineering tasks including data gathering and profiling.

Responsabilités

• Own reusable ML libraries (forecasting, disaggregation, detection, asset health) with evaluation harnesses.
• Create validated libraries that clients can deploy without reinventing components.
• Own the simulation engine (Rust and Python) and its validation against a reference oracle.
• Maintain grid-data toolkits and synthetic data generation utilities.
• Develop planning and dispatch support for demand-response programs.
• Publish versioned crates and Python packages with full evidence and benchmarks.
• Collaborate with client pods to iterate on field feedback and drive improvements.
