Job summary

AZX is seeking a Senior ML Engineer (Client Solutions) to build ML systems directly inside client environments. You will own data discovery, modeling, evaluation, deployment, and monitoring, delivering usable capabilities (FastAPI service and a React surface) for real clients. The role is fully remote within the U.S.

with a Seattle cluster; expect travel twice a year. 5+ years in production ML, strong data engineering, Python, SQL, Docker, and customer-facing collaboration are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of shipping applied machine learning to production (forecasting, detection/classification on time series, survival/reliability modeling, or optimization) with an evaluation defended to a stakeholder
• Strong data engineering skills: find, clean, join, and profile data at scale
• Rigorous validation: chronological splits, walk-forward validation, as-of correctness

Responsibilities

• Own the full ML delivery lifecycle: data discovery and cleaning, modeling, evaluation, deployment into the client environment, scheduling, monitoring, and retraining
• Build forecasting and detection models resilient to real-world data quality issues
• Backtest and justify model performance and tradeoffs to stakeholders
• Design systems distinguishing no prediction from wrong prediction for end users
• Ship usable capabilities: FastAPI service and a React surface, scheduled jobs
• Measure and monitor KPIs, provide post-deployment readouts with clear attribution limits
• Engage with client IT/data teams to surface data shapes and failure modes
