Job summary

RTX is seeking a Machine Learning Engineer within Aviation Intelligence to build next-generation ML models powering Foresight products for major airlines and airports. You will contribute to collecting, cleaning, and modeling large aviation datasets and push improvements across the stack.

The role blends research and engineering in a small team inside a larger organization, with remote work options, agile processes, and opportunities to influence product direction, performance, and scalability

Qualifications

• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Strong knowledge of Python.
• Experience with deep learning frameworks: TensorFlow/Keras or PyTorch
• Experience with complex data types: time series, image, video, etc.
• Ability to work within an agile development style

Responsibilities

• Build ML models for Foresight products powering aviation data insights.
• Improve existing models and data pipelines for performance and efficiency.
• Collaborate in a small, cross-functional team within a larger org.
• Perform experimentation with large-scale datasets and cloud/on-prem infrastructure
