Job summary

Stack AV is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to advance perception systems for L4 autonomous trucks. The role focuses on developing online and offline perception algorithms, integrating LiDAR, cameras, and maps, and ensuring real-time performance in safety-critical environments.

You will contribute to research-to-production, collaborate with hardware and software teams, and communicate with stakeholders to align priorities.

Qualifications

• Experience architecting, training, and deploying deep learning models in real-world environments.
• Track record of driving applied R&D projects from concept to productization.
• Experience in software engineering and ML algorithm design.
• Prior experience in sensor fusion and/or online mapping is highly desirable.
• Fluency in Python and C++.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain state-of-the-art perception and AI algorithms for L4 autonomous systems.
• Write robust, real-time, safety-critical software.
• Drive features from problem statement to delivery with cross-functional teams.
• Identify limitations in the online mapping system and lead improvements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders and communicate across teams.
