Job summary

Nebius in Amsterdam leads a full-stack AI cloud platform for developers and enterprises. We are seeking senior- and staff-level ML engineers to work on Portability research, focusing on AGI-ready agent systems, memory, provenance, and cross-provider interoperability.

You will design and evaluate prototypes at the seams of models, providers, and runtimes, test ideas in realistic agent workflows, and turn promising results into reusable components.

Qualifications

• Proven understanding of machine learning, LLMs, or statistical decision-making.
• Deep expertise in at least one area such as model routing, retrieval and memory, or protocol design.
• Experience building and evaluating modern language-model or agentic systems.
• Experience designing experiments with statistical rigor.
• Strong Python skills and cross-system work ability.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, train, and evaluate model routers for turn-level decisions.
• Develop portable abstractions preserving authentication, telemetry, and provenance.
• Define schemas/contracts for models, agents, and memories.
• Build reusable research software, APIs, and testing infrastructure.
• Collaborate across research, security, product, and engineering teams.
