Job summary

GEICO is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join our AI Agent Platform team. You will help build scalable, multi-tenant AI agent systems that support internal productivity and customer experiences for millions of policyholders.

You will collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, and software engineers to design, develop, and deploy GenAI workflows, ensuring performance, reliability, and governance across the platform.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development with at least two general-purpose languages (Java, C++, Python, or C#).
• 4+ years designing/building AI/ML platforms and systems using open-source/cloud-agnostic components.
• 3+ years end-to-end software lifecycle experience (Git, CI/CD, Kubernetes, monitoring).

Responsibilities

• Contribute to enterprise AI agent skill ecosystem; enable publishing, discovery, and versioning of reusable skill packages.
• Build AI agent harness components: tool dispatch, context management, error recovery, session state.
• Manage LLM context window: memory, RAG pipelines, context loading, dynamic skill/tool loading.
• Implement guardrails: input validation, prompt defense, PII detection, output verification.
• Collaborate with data scientists and engineers to plan features and backlogs.
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews and design sessions.
