Job summary

adMarketplace in New York is seeking an experienced Lead Machine Learning Engineer to build and optimize models for our ultra-low-latency ad-serving platform and consumer-facing search solutions. You will collaborate with product, business, and engineering teams on relevancy, yield optimization, predictive modeling, and bidding performance.

You will drive end-to-end ML lifecycle, champion MLOps, develop feature pipelines, and mentor junior engineers while translating research into production

Qualifications

• PhD or MS with substantial AI/ML production experience.
• 2+ years building AI/ML models in ads, relevance, ranking, or search.
• 3+ years building distributed, low-latency ML services.
• 3+ years deploying and maintaining ML pipelines in production, including feature engineering and monitoring.
• 2+ years Python and distributed frameworks (Spark, Hadoop), SQL, and cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end lifecycle management of AI/ML projects from concept to deployment and maintenance.
• Implement and champion MLOps practices including data collection, training pipelines, deployment, monitoring, and QA.
• Contribute to model architecture decisions using state-of-the-art ML, DL, and RL techniques.
• Develop and deploy robust feature engineering pipelines and ML services optimized for low latency and high throughput.
• Establish and utilize robust A/B testing and experimentation frameworks to evaluate model performance.
• Translate research papers into production-ready code.
• Communicate effectively and build long-term relationships across the organization.
• Mentor junior team members and drive engineering excellence.
