You will drive architecture standards, collaborate across multiple platforms, and mentor senior engineers to raise the operating bar.

The role emphasizes production ML systems, platform abstractions, and cross-team influence to deliver durable, scalable ML infrastructure across the Ads domain.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in infrastructure, distributed systems, ML platforms, data platforms, or large-scale backend systems.
• 4+ years building/operating production ML infrastructure, feature platforms, or data pipelines.
• Led multi-team platform initiatives from strategy through adoption.
• Built platforms used by ML engineers, data scientists, or product teams.
• Deep experience in ML platform, feature platform, or training data infrastructures.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical strategy for the end-to-end Ads ML engineer lifecycle, from feature development to training data and offline experimentation.
• Align platform priorities with Reddit's ML Platform vision and reusable capabilities.
• Define architecture standards for ML feature and training-data systems across batch/streaming compute, quality, observability, and online/offline consistency.
• Identify friction points with ML engineers and platform customers to improve development velocity.
• Build platform abstractions and automation to make ML development faster, safer, and more self-service.
• Extend strategy into serving and online experimentation workflows for offline-to-online ML development.
• Collaborate across Ads, ML Platform, Data Platform, modeling, product, and engineering teams; mentor senior engineers.
