Job summary

Chewy is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer for our Bellevue, WA team to advance sponsored ads offerings across onsite and offsite channels. You will shape model development, ranking, bidding dynamics, and campaign optimization, collaborating with product and engineering leaders.

You will lead end-to-end experiments, publish research, and mentor junior scientists while delivering measurable impact on Chewy's ads ecosystem and revenue growth.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree or equivalent experience in a quantitative field.
• Experience building distributed pipelines and evaluating models.
• Experience in advertising or sponsored ads domain.
• Familiarity with ML techniques: predictive models, ranking, regression, time-series, and embeddings.
• Ability to translate complex data into actionable business recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Deploy ML and DS to improve reach and discovery for Chewy vendors.
• Collaborate with product and engineering leaders to evolve solutions for onsite and offsite ads.
• Lead models from ideation to production delivery.
• Publish research in ML/AI/Advertising venues.
• Set high performance standards and mentor junior scientists.
• Deploy scalable solutions to boost customer engagement and value.
• Present proposals to senior leadership and business customers.
