Job summary

May Mobility, based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, is expanding its autonomous shuttle programs and seeking talents in data science and ML engineering. You will develop automated methods to contextualize data from AVs, enabling easy triaging, test-set creation, and dataset building for autonomy improvements.

Requires 10+ years in data science/ML with Python, SQL, and big data tools; strong deep learning background; mentorship capability; and ability to translate complex analyses into actionable

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Engineering/Data Science/CS/Math or related field.
• 10+ years as a Data Scientist or ML Engineer with emphasis on algorithmic design and deep learning.
• Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, and data analysis tools (Pandas, NumPy, Spark).
• Demonstrated expertise in databases for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
• Proven experience building and managing large datasets and evaluations.
• Hands-on expertise in architecting and training complex predictive machine learning models.
• Prior experience mentoring and supporting junior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate simulation test results to drive release & safety decisions.
• Work independently with cross functional teams to develop software and system requirements.
• Lead team code quality activities including design and code reviews.
• Communicate complex analytical findings and model performance metrics to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through clear visualizations and presentations.
• Provide technical guidance to team members.
