Job summary

General Motors is seeking a Senior ML Compiler Engineer to advance the model compilation stack for autonomous and assisted driving. You will convert high-level models into optimized on-vehicle inference artifacts, collaborating across kernel, runtime, and hardware teams to balance performance, fidelity, and safety.

You will architect compiler passes, validate numerical correctness, and help ship robust tools for model export and debugging in a safety-critical environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in compilers.
• Experience with ML frameworks and software stacks (ONNX/MLIR/XLA/TensorRT).
• Production-quality Python/C++ code experience.
• Understanding of the software development lifecycle: coding, debugging, testing, integration.
• BS or higher in CS/CE/EE or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve the model compilation toolchain for AV workloads.
• Architect compiler passes and analyses to improve performance and fidelity.
• Collaborate with kernels, runtime, and hardware teams to expose APIs.
• Set standards for model export, validation, and debugging.
