Job summary

Bloomberg Industry Group is seeking a senior Machine Learning Engineer to design, develop, and deploy advanced ML solutions for customers. The role requires leadership, strong communication, and the ability to guide technical direction across multiple teams.

You will architect ML models, collaborate with product managers, and mentor junior colleagues. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in software development with Java or Python and deep ML/AI experience, spanning problem mapping through model

Qualifications

• Bachelors in STEM or related field with Master’s in STEM required.
• 5+ years of software development experience and/or commensurate skills in ML applications.
• 5+ years’ experience with OOP languages such as Java or Python, ML/AI frameworks, data structures and data modeling techniques.
• Extensive experience in all ML lifecycle phases from problem mapping to data prep to model optimization.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design and develop ML prediction models with AWS services integration.
• Collaborate with domain experts and product managers to map business needs to ML solutions.
• Learn and apply groundbreaking ML research to solve complex problems quickly.
• Act as principal contact for ML projects, mentoring junior team members.
• Design and guide feature design for cross-team initiatives and deliver production-ready solutions.
• Use metrics to drive data-driven decisions and evaluate model performance.
• Write and maintain production-quality code.
• Participate in special projects as assigned.
