Bloomberg’s Engineering AI group is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to advance production machine learning systems and applications that power search, discovery, and analytics across financial data and news.
You will collaborate with ML scientists and software engineers to design, implement, test, and maintain scalable, fault-tolerant code, and you will lead cross-team projects and contribute to open-source communities.
Bloomberg’s Engineering AI department has 400+ AI practitioners building innovative products and features. We invest in AI to build better search, discovery, and workflow solutions using technologies such as transformers, gradient boosted decision trees, large language models, and dense vector databases. We are expanding our group and seeking highly skilled individuals who will contribute to the team or teams of Machine Learning and Software Engineers bringing AI-driven customer-facing products to life.

Our engineers are responsible for architecting and implementing machine learning systems end-to-end, addressing the unique challenges of such systems in the financial domain.
