Job summary

Google Inc. in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking a Senior Hardware Systems Design Engineer for the Platforms Infrastructure team. You will help design custom silicon solutions powering data center and consumer products, from concept through volume production.

You will collaborate with ASIC, FPGA, software, verification, and manufacturing teams to ensure verification, deployment, and scalable hardware. The role emphasizes leadership, architecture definition, and end-to-end system validation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or related field.
• 4 years of experience in a hardware design environment, or 3 years with an advanced degree.
• Master's degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or related field preferred.
• Experience with enterprise-class hardware systems design and data center engineering, and FPGA/CPLD design.

Responsibilities

• Gather system requirements, define architecture, execute hardware design and product validation.
• Lead bring up, validation, NPI, deployment and sustaining of hardware solutions.
• Work cross-functionally with Hardware, Software, Mechanical, Thermal, Validation, Manufacturing and external vendors.
• Drive system development from concept through production.
• Lead debug and root cause analysis of deployed systems.
