Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is actively seeking a Senior Project Manager to join the Environmental Services Global Practice in the Kansas City area to lead the National Mitigation Banking business line. You will oversee the full lifecycle from site acquisition and permitting to construction, implementation and long-term stewardship, while driving strategic growth and underwriting performance.

The role demands a proven seller-doer with experience originating, underwriting and delivering multiple projects,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a natural resources, planning or environmental permitting discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in mitigation banking, including origination, development and completion.
• Originated and completed at least eight projects in mitigation/conservation banks or related programs in the last 10 years.
• Strong written and oral communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
• 7+ years of experience with environmental permitting and NEPA/state/local processes.
• Experience with project management, environmental regulation and agency coordination (BLM, Forest Service, state agencies, counties).
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel up to 25%.

• Interface with agencies, clients and team members.
• Mentoring and training of junior staff.
• Recruiting support and staff development.
