Job summary

E-Space is seeking a Mission Systems Engineer to own requirements, ICD development, verification planning, and interface control for a government contract. You’ll translate mission needs into subsystem requirements and manage verification and validation activities within MBSE guidance.

The role requires 8+ years in space/defense systems engineering, active clearance or ability to obtain one, and experience with environment testing and mission-level coordination.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive systems engineering experience in space/defense.
• Government contract experience with CDRLs and customer reviews.
• ICD and design review ownership with requirements traceability.
• Hands-on subsystem or mission engineering experience across disciplines.
• Knowledge of RF/waveform concepts is a plus.
• Ability to make and defend mission-level technical decisions.

Responsibilities

• Requirements ownership and allocation to subsystems and budgets.
• Develop and baseline ICDs; coordinate interface changes.
• Develop and execute V&V plans and TPMs; plan tests.
• Support AI&T campaigns, FlatSat and HW-in-the-Loop activities.
• Interface with government customer and PM for reviews.
• Maintain configuration baseline and ECR processes.
• Maintain MBSE traceability across artifacts.
