Job summary

Blue Origin envisions millions living and working in space and is building MTN to provide reliable data services between Mars and Earth. As a Mission Systems Engineer, you will define and mature the ground system and mission operations, lead verification, and align with CCSDS standards for civil deep-space missions.

Based in Colorado, you will collaborate with flight vehicle, ground software, and payload teams, drive interfaces, testing, and operations readiness to enable robust, scalable relay

Qualifications

• B.S. in Aerospace Engineering or related technical field.
• 8+ years in ground systems architecture, spacecraft operations, requirements, or CCSDS.
• Experience across complex system lifecycles from definition to operations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Identify, derive, develop, and maintain mission systems requirements with verification approach.
• Define ground element interfaces and ICDs for user and payload interfaces.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across flight, ground software, and operations.
• Define architectures enabling real-time and store-and-forward operations.
• Plan, perform, and validate mission system product updates and tests.
