Job summary

MITRE is seeking a senior solution architect to translate mission needs into executable architecture across secure compute and cloud environments. You will lead complex engagements, drive multi-team architecture discussions, and shepherd roadmaps from concept through delivery.

Applicants should have extensive architecture experience, strong stakeholder communication, and the ability to influence decisions for long-term mission impact. A hybrid schedule with 3 onsite days per week is required.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in solution and systems architecture with mission-focused translation.
• Experience guiding architecture in cloud, hybrid, or secure compute environments.
• Leadership of complex projects, cross-team coordination, and stakeholder communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex customer and mission engagements to discover needs and translate into architecture strategies.
• Develop and lead solution-architecture discussions across platforms, data flows, and secure environments.
• Direct technical trade studies and synthesize information to inform long-term decisions.
• Lead functional teams or projects and guide execution without formal supervisory authority.
• Mature front-door and demand-discovery practices, identifying gaps and roadmap opportunities.
• Establish reusable patterns, guidance, and quality criteria; mentor staff and share knowledge.
• Partner with mission teams and leadership, influencing stakeholders toward practical technical outcomes.
