Horwitz is seeking a Mission Critical Senior Project Manager – Mechanical in Minnesota to lead large-scale mechanical construction projects in data centers and high-tech facilities. You will oversee preconstruction through commissioning, ensuring schedule adherence, safety, and profitability while coordinating with field teams and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level knowledge not required but PM experience in commercial/industrial settings preferred.
• Experience managing mission-critical mechanical projects (data centers, hyperscale facilities, etc.).
• Understanding of BIM coordination and prefabrication processes.
• Familiarity with procurement, scheduling, cost forecasting, and risk management.

Responsabilités

• Lead planning, management, and execution of large-scale mechanical construction projects from preconstruction to closeout.
• Develop schedules, staffing plans, labor forecasts, and execution strategies.
• Coordinate with field leadership on weekly plans, look-ahead schedules, and project coordination.
• Oversee mechanical systems procurement, subcontractors, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Drive design coordination, BIM, and prefabrication to improve productivity.
• Manage budgets, cash flow, and profitability while identifying risks and opportunities.
• Lead monthly forecasting and WIP reviews, monitor costs and subcontractor performance.
• Review contracts, manage change orders, and mitigate financial and scheduling risks.
• Collaborate with Preconstruction on estimating, pricing strategies, and value engineering.
• Mentor Project Managers and Project Engineers through coaching and collaboration.
• Coordinate mechanical startup, testing, commissioning, and closeout activities.
• Build strong relationships with owners and general contractors for future opportunities.
