Job summary

SAIC is seeking a skilled Cloud Engineer to support USTRANSCOM ITSM efforts at Scott AFB, IL. You will design, implement, and optimize cloud architectures with a focus on security, scalability, and resiliency.

Lead migration and modernization of applications into cloud environments using AWS, Azure, and automation tools. Role requires 4+ years in cloud engineering, active DoD Secret clearance, and relevant certifications; Azure and GovCloud experience strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 4+ years in cloud engineering or related fields.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
• AWS GovCloud experience and IL5/IL6 environment familiarity.
• IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+, CEH/CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, SSCP).
• Azure certifications preferred and expertise with Linux (RHEL).
• PowerShell/Bash scripting and automation experience.
• Knowledge of ITSM suites, AD forests, and security controls.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and implement next-generation cloud architectures with security, scalability, resiliency, and operational excellence.
• Lead migration, re-platforming, and integration of applications into cloud environments with modernization and automation.
• Apply expertise in AWS, Azure, Linux, scripting, and ITSM tools to improve mission support.
• Ensure compliance with DoD cloud policies (IL5/IL6) and perform testing, troubleshooting, and optimization of complex cloud systems.
