Job summary

The Aerospace Corporation seeks a Senior Project Engineer specializing in Signal & Image Processing and Modeling & Simulation to lead DoD missile warning and tracking systems efforts. You will guide SDA Tracking architecture, coordinate across senior leadership, and drive innovation in proliferated LEO constellations while ensuring warfighter requirements are met.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Advanced degree from an accredited program in engineering, math, computer science, physics, or related discipline
• 12+ years of progressive engineering experience in space systems with technical leadership
• Experience in MWTD space vehicle development and space-to-ground system integration
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional high-performance teams
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Willingness to travel domestically ~10%
• Current TS/SCI clearance with US citizenship

Responsibilities

• Lead mission architecture development for DoD space-based missile warning and tracking systems
• Serve as technical advisor to SDA senior leadership across MWTD domains
• Drive design for proliferated LEO constellations and space architecture concepts
• Guide contract execution, performance assessments, and on-orbit operations planning
• Direct high-performing Engineering teams to validate performance and support acquisition decisions
• Bridge requirements, contractor oversight, and operations integration across tracking initiatives
