Job summary

Leidos' Defense Sector in Huntsville, Alabama seeks a Mechanical Design Engineer to design air defense launchers for IFPC Inc 2, using Creo and Windchill daily, turning concepts into hardware and validating through production and testing teams.

The role requires a BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an ABET-accredited program and 8+ years of design/analysis experience (6+ years with MS). Leadership experience is preferred to guide design teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent degree from an ABET-accredited university.
• 8+ years of applicable experience in design and/or analysis of mechanical systems or 6+ years with MS degree.

Responsibilities

• Structural design via Creo CAD software, drawing generation in accordance with ASME Y14.100 & Y14.5, and producing technical data packages in accordance with MIL-STD-31000
