Tetra Tech is seeking a Senior Mining Engineer (Part-Time Temporary) based in Pittsburgh, PA. The role requires applying comprehensive mining engineering knowledge to challenging assignments across environmental, engineering, and construction contexts.

Ideal candidates will have extensive mining-related experience, professional licensure as a PE, and familiarity with MSHA training. The position offers a flexible, project-based schedule in a leading engineering and consulting firm.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mining Engineering or related field required.
• Minimum of 20 years of related experience.
• Must be a Registered Professional Engineer.
• MSHA 40-hour training preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform project tasks in public and private sectors and coordinate with client representatives.
• Perform technical functions on environmental, engineering and construction projects.
• Projects involving mining, oil and gas, and environmental aspects in accordance with regulations.
• Evaluate mine site investigations, reclamation techniques and mine pool management.
• Provide technical direction to CAD operators, designers and field personnel.
