Job summary
Piteau Associates in Tucson, AZ, part of Tetra Tech, is hiring an HSE Specialist to support the safety and environmental program across projects in the mining and geotechnical sectors. You will report to the HSE manager, assist with risk assessments, incident investigations, and training, and help ensure regulatory compliance and continuous improvement.
The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in OH&S or related field, at least 2 years of HSE experience in consulting/mining, strong communication,
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of HSE experience in consulting, mining (MSHA) or related industrial sectors.
- Proficiency in latest HSE regulations and MS Office suite.
- Ability to travel overnight within the state.
Responsibilities
- Assist with implementing and maintaining HSE management systems.
- Provide guidance to staff on safety, health, and environmental issues.
- Assist with risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective actions.
- Support training courses such as MSHA refresher and New Miner classes.
- Coordinate site inspections, audits, and regulatory communications.
