Job summary

Hatch is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to join our minerals processing team in the United States. You will guide the process design across multiple unit operations and supervise the development of key deliverables while maintaining schedule and budget.

You will liaise with clients to understand project requirements, oversee hazard assessments, and mentor junior engineers as part of project execution and commissioning activities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering or Mineral Processing.
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in minerals processing projects.
• Experience in design, commissioning and/or operation of minerals processing equipment.
• Ability to lead engineering tasks within budget and schedule and mentor juniors.
• Strong client focus and collaboration with multi-discipline teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform process engineering tasks on minerals processing projects across various commodities.
• Act as Lead Process Engineer on projects or studies when required.
• Execute design calculations and equipment sizing with high accuracy.
• Develop process criteria, block flow diagrams and mass/energy balances.
• Coordinate with clients to understand requirements and scope, and lead hazard studies.
