Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking a senior mine water management professional to lead technical delivery across the mining lifecycle, from permitting to closure. The role focuses on developing sound water strategies, constructable solutions, and mentoring staff within a growing ENS practice.

You will interface with clients, guide proposals, and collaborate with environmental, engineering, and construction teams to deliver integrated, fit-for-purpose outcomes in a collaborative, employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• 13+ years of progressive mine water management experience.
• Experience with water balance, surface water and groundwater modeling.
• Experience interfacing with clients, proposals, scoping, and cost estimating.
• Ability to manage projects with scope, schedule, budget and quality accountability.
• Experience from design through construction, including constructability reviews.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide senior technical leadership across the mining lifecycle including permitting and closure.
• Lead mine water strategies, analyses, and design of infrastructure and treatment options.
• Interface with clients, explain concepts, evaluate alternatives, and guide decisions.
• Contribute to proposals, scopes of work, and execution approaches.
• Mentor engineers and scientists; develop internal tools and best practices.
• Collaborate with environmental, engineering, and construction teams for integrated delivery.
