Job summary

Hecla Mining Company is seeking an Electrical Supervisor for the Lucky Friday mine in Idaho. You will supervise routine and emergency electrical maintenance across mine and concentrator facilities, scheduling, directing, and coordinating electricians to ensure safe, compliant operations.

Responsibilities include managing daily activities, coordinating with other departments, supervising contractors, and maintaining equipment reliability.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience in mining or related industry or degree in Electrical or related discipline.
• Previous experience supervising and directing the work of others.
• Journeyman Electrician certification in Idaho or reciprocal state preferred.
• Must be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Supervise routine and emergency electrical maintenance across all mine areas.
• Coordinate electrical department activities with mine and concentrator operations.
• Direct hourly electricians and supervise contractors; ensure safety and compliance with MSHA.
• Plan, organize, manage and supervise all electrical maintenance operations.
• Inspect daily operations and project work for quality and reliability.
• Attend meetings and participate in SOP development and risk assessments.
