Job summary

Westlake seeks a skilled Millwright to provide mechanical maintenance for rotating equipment in a chemical plant setting. You will perform preventive maintenance, overhauls, and repairs on pumps, compressors and related machinery, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Ideal candidates have a strong background in rotating equipment, precision measurement, CMMS usage, and a track record of adherence to procedures and continuous improvement. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus millwright training; millwright certification required.
• Minimum five years in industrial/chemical plant maintenance on rotating equipment.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic MS Word/Excel and CMMS understanding.
• Knowledge of precision measurement instruments.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates strong safety culture and adheres to EH&S rules.
• Reports injuries, incidents and hazards promptly.
• Uses PPE as assigned.
• Maintains safety for self and others.
• Participates in Continuous Improvement processes.
• Troubleshoots plant machinery and supports failure analysis.
• Provides quality repairs for pumps and rotating equipment.
• Maintains and revises documentation for rotating equipment and PMs.
• Reviews spare parts and CMMS BOMs.
• Develops standard repair and PM plans.
• Writes assembly and testing procedure excerpts.
• Trains company and contractor technicians.
