Job summary

LAMP in Texas is seeking an experienced industrial maintenance technician to keep pumps and rotating equipment running, performing precision alignment and mechanical seal work.

You will maintain pumps, compressors, agitators, centrifuges, dryers, and associated piping, valves, and heat exchangers; support planned outages; and document findings in the CMMS. Welding and rigging may be required on occasion.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of industrial mechanical maintenance experience in a process plant.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and equipment manuals.
• Experience with precision alignment, mechanical seals and bearings.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair and overhaul pumps, compressors, agitators, centrifuges, dryers and conveying equipment.
• Perform precision alignment, bearing replacement and mechanical seal replacement.
• Maintain piping, valves, heat exchangers and pressure equipment, and support inspection programs.
• Execute preventive and predictive maintenance routes and document findings in the CMMS.
• Perform rigging and lifting for equipment removal and installation.
• Support planned outages, turnarounds and breakdown response.
• Fabricate and weld to procedure where qualified.

Keeps rotating and static equipment running. Hiring during installation means the people who will maintain the pumps are the people who watched them being set and aligned.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair and overhaul pumps, compressors, agitators, centrifuges, dryers and conveying equipment.
• Perform precision alignment, bearing replacement, mechanical seal replacement and vibration troubleshooting.
• Maintain piping, valves, heat exchangers and pressure equipment, and support inspection programs.
• Execute preventive and predictive maintenance routes and document findings in the CMMS.
• Perform rigging and lifting for equipment removal and installation.
• Support planned outages, turnarounds and breakdown response.
• Fabricate and weld to procedure where qualified.

Required Qualifications

• Five or more years of industrial mechanical maintenance in a process plant.
• Precision alignment, mechanical seal and bearing competence.
• Rigging and lifting competence.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and equipment manuals.

Preferred Qualifications

• Welding certification.
• Vibration analysis Category I or higher.
• Rotating equipment specialist background.
