Job summary

Westlake Chemical seeks a skilled millwright to provide mechanical maintenance support for rotating equipment in our process units. You will conduct preventative maintenance, repairs, and overhauls, while upholding safety and environmental standards.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, pump and compressor repairs, updating CMMS records, supporting planning and scheduling of PMs, and mentoring junior technicians. A formal millwright training program and certification are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, plus completion of a formal millwright training program.
• Millwright certification is required.
• Minimum of five years of industrial/chemical plant maintenance experience as a millwright or in rotating equipment maintenance.
• Good communication skills (verbal and written).
• Basic knowledge of CMMS and MS Word/Excel.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates strong safety culture and adheres to EH&S rules.
• Reports injuries, incidents and hazards promptly.
• Performs maintenance with appropriate PPE.
• Maintains rotating equipment documentation and records.
• Supports planning and scheduling of PMs and repairs.
• Troubleshoots and analyzes machine failures for root causes.
• Repairs centrifugal and reciprocal pumps, compressors, and other rotating equipment.
• Develops/updates Standard Job Plans and Preventative Maintenance Plans.
