Job summary

Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center is seeking a Millwright to support preventive maintenance and installation of industrial machinery. Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of millwright experience, an associate or trade school equivalent, and the ability to read complex drawings.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of millwright experience.
• Associate or trade school equivalency.
• Ability to read engineering specifications, schematics and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Preventive Maintenance for equipment to improve machine reliability.
• Assemble and install new machinery; install robots and program controls.
• First point of contact with management when equipment fails; coordinate site assessments.
• Move machinery on/off-site using hoists, dollies and rollers; use hand tools and welding/brazing equipment.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and ensure safety devices operate correctly.
