Job summary

Meyer Utility Structures, an Arcosa subsidiary, is seeking multiple Sr. Fitter/Welders for our Clinton, IL plant. You will lay out pieces, set up and operate welding equipment, and MIG weld structural steel according to blueprints and work orders while following safety protocols.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of welding experience or completed weld training/education.
• Flux or metal core welding experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, layouts, schematics, or work orders.

Responsibilities

• Observe safety practices and follow safety rules.
• Lay out and cut complex subassemblies and final product.
• Fit and complete final welds and multi-pass welds.
• Position pieces to be welded using jigs, fixtures, guides, and tools.
• Maintain and complete required records.
• Participate in safety committees or initiatives.
• Train other employees on new tasks as needed.
