Job summary

Farnsworth Group, Inc. seeks a Midstream Project Engineer - Natural Gas Facilities to join our Energy and Utilities team in the St. Louis area.

Lead project efforts from conception through completion, overseeing scope, budget, and schedules while coordinating with clients and internal teams. You will analyze existing facilities for improvements, prepare P&IDs and detailed calculations, and support field construction with site visits.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
• Minimum of 10 years of facility design experience in natural gas.
• Licensed Professional Engineer desired.
• Willing to travel and have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise on natural gas facility projects (compressor stations, metering/regulation stations).
• Develop projects by analyzing existing facilities for performance, safety, and reliability improvements.
• Prepare detailed technical documents, calculations, designs, P&IDs, and reports.
• Coordinate with drafters/designers to develop engineering drawings.
• Support construction activities at field locations and address contractor inquiries.
• Manage engineering projects from conception to completion (scope, budget, schedule, coordination).
• Develop proposals including fee estimating, RFQs, schedule prep in MS Project, and proposal letters.
