Job summary

Experis, located in Charlotte, NC, seeks 3–4 Senior Middleware Integration Engineers with IBM ACE and IBM MQ expertise. The role supports a legacy Profile Deposits transition, with data transformation, API-led connectivity, and containerized deployments in OpenShift.

Hybrid onsite work is required, with W2 employment and a 6–12 month contract. The ideal candidates will implement real-time streaming using Kafka, optimize SQL/PL-SQL routines, and develop RESTful APIs within middleware

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience developing, configuring, and supporting IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) and IBM MQ message flows.
• Direct experience deploying and managing middleware within OpenShift or Kubernetes environments.
• Strong hands-on experience integrating message flows with Kafka for real-time processing.
• Advanced SQL / PL-SQL development skills for data extraction, transformation, and validation routines.
• Proven track record building and consuming RESTful APIs within middleware architectures.
• Proficient in Unix/Linux shell scripting.

Responsibilities

Pay Rate: $65.00 – $75.00 / hour W2

Position Overview

We are seeking 3–4 Senior Middleware Integration Engineers with deep technical expertise in IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) and IBM MQ to support a critical enterprise system transition involving a legacy Profile Deposits platform.

In this role, you will lead complex data transformation, contextual conversion, and API-led connectivity while maintaining and supporting existing IBM ACE and IBM MQ message flows in a containerized environment.

Key Responsibilities

IBM ACE & IBM MQ Support & Development: Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize operational IBM ACE message flows and IBM MQ queues while developing new high-performance integration channels.

Contextual Data Transformation: Lead complex data transformation and logic conversion (beyond basic file transfer) to support the migration from legacy Profile systems to target enterprise applications.

API-Led Connectivity & Messaging: Transition legacy file-based transfers into modern RESTful APIs and integrate high-volume real-time streams using Kafka.

Database & Scripting Operations: Write and optimize PL/SQL queries for data validation, integrity checks, and transformation, supported by Unix/Linux shell scripting for automation.

Containerized Deployment: Support middleware node deployments, container orchestration, and flow executions within an OpenShift environment.

Required Qualifications

IBM ACE & IBM MQ Expertise: 5+ years of hands‑on experience developing, configuring, and supporting IBM App Connect Enterprise (ACE) and IBM MQ message flows.

Containerized Environments: Direct experience deploying and managing middleware within OpenShift or Kubernetes environments.

Streaming & Event Messaging: Strong hands‑on experience integrating message flows with Kafka for real-time asynchronous processing.

Database & SQL Mastery: Advanced SQL / PL-SQL development skills for complex data extraction, transformation, and validation routines.

API Development: Proven track record building and consuming RESTful APIs within middleware architectures.

Scripting & OS: Proficient in Unix/Linux shell scripting.

Employment Terms: Must be eligible for direct W2 employment (No C2C / No 1099 / No Subcontracting) and able to work hybrid onsite in Charlotte, NC.
