Job summary

Truist is seeking a Senior Portfolio Manager for the Middle Market segment. The role leads underwriting, structuring, and ongoing portfolio management of diverse credit profiles across asset-based and cashflow structures.

You will support complex client relationships, originate, recapitalize, refinance, upsizes, and manage risk through all deal stages. Responsibilities include leading credit discussions, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Finance or related field.
• 7–10+ years in middle market/ mid corporate credit underwriting and portfolio management.
• Strong MS Office proficiency and analytical skills.
• Solid written and verbal communication; detail oriented; ability to prioritize work.

Responsibilities

• Lead the commercial underwriting process for complex transactions.
• Structure and document client transactions and loans.
• Manage assigned portfolio, monitor performance and risk; conduct annual reviews.
• Provide independent credit solutions and risk-focused recommendations.
• Mentor junior PMs, Associates and Analysts; participate in performance discussions.
