Job summary

Truist is seeking a Middle Market Senior Portfolio Manager to independently underwrite, structure, and manage complex sponsor-owned and leveraged middle market credit relationships, including acquisition financing, recapitalizations, refinancings, upsizes, amendments and waivers.

You will lead large deals, mentor analysts, and coordinate with Investment Banking to deliver sophisticated financing solutions. Strong credit analysis, attention to detail, and MS Office proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance or related field required.
• 7-10+ years in middle market credit, underwriting, or portfolio management.
• Strong credit skills, attention to detail and prioritization abilities.
• Proficiency with MS Office and related banking systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead underwriting and structure complex sponsor-owned and leveraged deals.
• Manage frameworks for acquisitions, refinancings, and amendments.
• Oversee portfolio performance, risk ratings, and annual reviews.
• Engage with clients and prospects to expand relationships.
• Mentor junior PMs, associates, and analysts on deal execution.
• Collaborate with Investment Banking to deliver financing solutions.
• Maintain independent risk views and ensure regulatory compliance.
