Job summary

Truist Financial Corporation is seeking a Senior Portfolio Manager to independently underwrite, structure, and manage complex middle-market credit relationships, including sponsor-backed and leveraged deals. The role supports new originations, manages amendments and waivers, and collaborates with Investment Banking for financing solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or related field.
• 7-10+ years of progressive middle market credit experience or similar.
• Strong MS Office skills and financial analysis ability.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end underwriting for complex, sponsor-owned and leveraged middle market credit relationships.
• Manage portfolio, monitor performance, and define client credit solutions.
• Lead client calls to develop financing structures meeting risk acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with Investment Banking to deliver complex financing solutions.
• Mentor junior PMs and oversee analysts in deal execution and risk management.
• Maintain risk awareness and ensure regulatory compliance.
