Job summary

Empower is seeking a Sr Relationship Manager Mid-Market to act as a strategic partner for plan sponsors, advisors, and TPAs. You will manage 20–30 plans with assets from $50M to $200M, ensuring retention, growth, and retirement readiness across Mid-Market, Tax Exempt or Taft-Hartley segments.

You will collaborate with internal teams and intermediaries to deliver tailored solutions, lead plan reviews, and drive client satisfaction while balancing revenue and risk for the firm.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in building strategic client relationships.
• Strong understanding of retirement plans, investments and fiduciary governance.
• Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of mid-size retirement plans (20–30) to ensure retention and profitability.
• Deepen relationships with plan sponsors, advisors and internal stakeholders.
• Provide strategic insights on plan design, investments and retirement readiness.
• Lead plan reviews and regulatory updates to support client objectives.
• Collaborate with sales to expand advisor relationships and grow accounts.
• Navigate governance structures to advocate for client needs across teams.
