About The Role

We are seeking a Senior Mid‑Level Systems Engineer to provide enterprise‑focused engineering support to a government customer. The role entails supporting a DoD customer and communicating with other program personnel, customers, and senior executives. You will be responsible for the technical integrity, quality and completeness of work performed and deliverables associated with one or more of the process areas defined in ISO/IEC 15288.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and approving delivery of work products for all Process Areas defined in ISO/IEC 15288.
• Lead contractor systems engineering activities, supervising the work of project engineering staff and technicians.
• Independently make decisions regarding engineering issues and methodology for a project.
• Brief stakeholders and present the status on all technical aspects of the project.
• Assist in developing new or innovative approaches to technical or engineering issues.
• Assist in conducting evaluations to determine suitability for project implementation.
• Analyze and propose appropriate engineering standards and processes for a project.
• Perform analysis of technical alternatives and make preliminary recommendations.
• Independently analyze and recommend alternatives for elements of the project’s technical design.
• Contribute to the development of sections of systems engineering documentation such as System Engineering Plans, Initial Capability Documents, Requirements Specifications, and Interface Control Documents.
• Manage system requirements and derived requirements to ensure delivery of production systems compatible with the defined system architecture(s) – DoDAF, Service‑oriented Architecture.
• Assist with allocation of resources to individual hardware, software, facility, and personnel components.
• Coordinate resolution of action items from Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings, design reviews, program reviews, and test reviews that require cross‑discipline coordination.

Qualifications

Required

• Minimum 15 years of systems engineering experience with a bachelor’s degree or advanced degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or related discipline. A master’s degree or PhD may replace 2 years of experience. A high school diploma or GED plus 19 years of experience is also acceptable.
• Position requires TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Benefits

Target salary range: $146,000 – $234,000. Salary is determined by factors including scope of responsibilities, experience, education, skills, and geographic location. Employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses in addition to base pay.
