A leading IT services company is seeking a seasoned Microsoft Engineer to support a 4-month infrastructure and security project in Central New Jersey. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Active Directory migration and Microsoft Sentinel implementation. Responsibilities include leading AD migration, designing security solutions, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. This contract role offers a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Microsoft infrastructure engineering roles.
• Hands-on experience with complex AD migrations (multi-domain, hybrid environments).
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Sentinel: deployment, rule creation, data connectors, and incident response workflows.
• Familiarity with Azure AD, Defender for Cloud, and Microsoft 365 security stack.
• Experience in healthcare IT environments or regulated industries is a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute Active Directory migration, including domain consolidation, OU restructuring, and GPO rationalization.
• Design and implement Microsoft Sentinel for enterprise-wide security monitoring and incident response.
• Collaborate with internal IT, security, and compliance teams to ensure alignment with HIPAA and healthcare-specific regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain documentation for architecture, configurations, and operational procedures.
• Provide knowledge transfer and training to internal IT staff as needed.
