Job summary

Ardent is seeking a Senior Microsoft Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and optimize enterprise cloud services across Microsoft 365, Azure, and security platforms. You will lead identity management, hybrid integrations, and cost-aware operations.

You will also develop compliance documentation, support audits, and drive modernization with a senior technical perspective. This hybrid role is based in Washington, DC, with Veterans and cleared professionals encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, cybersecurity, engineering or related field.
• 10+ years supporting enterprise Microsoft cloud environments.
• 5+ years in senior engineering, architecture, or technical leadership.
• Experience designing and operating Microsoft cloud services in large enterprises.
• Experience with NIST 800-53/800-207 and FedRAMP Moderate requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, operate, and optimize Microsoft 365, Azure, and security services.
• Administer identity services with Entra ID and access controls.
• Manage Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online and related workloads.
• Provide Azure infrastructure support, networking, and hybrid integrations.
• Configure Defender, Sentinel, Purview for security and governance.
• Develop dashboards and reporting using Power BI; monitor health and cost.
• Create technical docs, SOPs, and change records; support audits and compliance.
• Serve as senior technical advisor on architecture reviews and modernization.
