Job summary

Albany International is seeking an Analytics Developer to advance its Microsoft-based analytics stack, focusing on SQL Server, SSAS/SSRS, and Power BI. You’ll work within an established architecture to migrate assets to Microsoft Fabric and Azure Synapse, transforming SAP S/4HANA data into analytics-ready models and reports.

The role emphasizes data governance, security, and collaboration with architects and stakeholders to deliver scalable analytics solutions that enable self-service insights.

Qualifications

• 5+ years designing analytics and reporting in a Microsoft data environment.
• Hands-on with SQL and Microsoft BI technologies (SSAS/SSRS) in enterprise reporting.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA data as a source for analytics.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Fabric and Azure Synapse.
• Knowledge of data modeling, ETL/ELT, and governance.

Responsibilities

• Support and enhance BI solutions across SQL Server, SSAS, and SSRS ensuring performance and data accuracy.
• Migrate legacy analytics assets to Microsoft Fabric, including data models and pipelines.
• Develop scalable data models and semantic layers transforming SAP data into analytics-ready structures.
• Build and maintain data ingestion and transformation pipelines in the Microsoft ecosystem.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reporting solutions for insights and self-service analytics.
• Integrate Microsoft AI capabilities (Fabric AI, Azure AI, Foundry) into analytics workflows.
• Apply standards for data modeling, performance, and development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with teams to deliver analytics solutions aligned with requirements.
• Support data governance, security, and compliance across platforms.
