Job summary

Vaco is seeking a Senior Security Administrator to lead Microsoft 365 identity and security initiatives in a fast-paced managed services environment. You will own complex identity work, mentor the team, and drive process improvements to raise customer security maturity.

You will configure and troubleshoot Entra ID, SAML, OpenID Connect, and MFA, while guiding onboarding/offboarding with a security-focused lens. Hybrid remote work is available.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 security and Entra ID.
• Deep knowledge of IAM concepts, SAML/OpenID Connect, and MFA.
• 5+ years in IT/security in a fast-paced MSP or similar setting.
• Proven ability to lead initiatives, mentor others, and drive process improvements.

Responsibilities

• Serve as senior technical leader for Microsoft 365 security and identity initiatives.
• Own Tier 2 security and identity work within customer environments.
• Act as escalation point for complex security and access issues.
• Configure Entra ID, SAML, OpenID Connect, and MFA configurations.
• Lead onboarding/offboarding from a security perspective and mentor staff.
• Improve processes, documentation, and repeatable security practices.
• Participate in customer calls for projects, escalations, or sales support.
