Job summary

National Church Residences in Columbus, OH seeks an experienced enterprise Microsoft 365 lead who will own the tenant including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, Entra ID, and Intune. The role is hybrid, collaborating with IT Security, application services, data teams, and an MSP to ensure secure, compliant operation aligned to roadmaps.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT or CS or equivalent experience
• 5+ years hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365 at enterprise scale
• HIPAA or nonprofit compliance knowledge preferred
• Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert or equivalent certifications preferred

Responsibilities

• Own the configuration, monitoring, and optimization of all Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online/OneDrive, Teams, Entra ID, Intune)
• Ensure platform health, availability, and performance through proactive monitoring and issue resolution
• Manage Microsoft 365 licensing, capacity planning, and feature enablement
• Administer identity and access management using Entra ID including MFA and Conditional Access
• Maintain secure hybrid identity integrations and auditable records for access and changes
• Implement and enforce Microsoft 365 security and compliance controls including DLP and Purview
• Collaborate with Information Security to align configurations with Zero Trust, CIS benchmarks, regulatory requirements
• Define operating model with external MSP and ensure ITIL-based change management
• Serve as escalation point for MS365 issues and review MSP performance
• Lead MS365 roadmap initiatives (Purview, Microsoft Fabric, Syntex, Copilot)
• Support intranet migration to SharePoint Online with strong information architecture
• Drive automation (PowerShell), documentation, and runbooks
• Provide training and knowledge transfer on best practices
