Qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering experience, with several years in architecture roles.
• Deep expertise in microservices design, domain‑driven design, and distributed systems patterns.
• Hands‑on experience with Kubernetes, container orchestration, and service mesh technologies.
• Proficiency in Java, Go, or C# for backend service development.
• Strong API design, event‑driven architectures, and asynchronous messaging.
• Experience operating high‑traffic, latency‑sensitive systems in production.
• Experience with cloud platforms and managed services across major providers.

Responsibilities

• Define microservices architecture standards and boundaries aligned with domain‑driven design.
• Modernize legacy monoliths into independently deployable services with clear ownership.
• Design service communication patterns (REST, gRPC, messaging, streaming).
• Establish API contracts, governance, and versioning for safe evolution.
• Architect resilient distributed systems with circuit breakers, retries, and bulkheads.
• Define data ownership models and patterns like outbox, saga, CQRS where appropriate.
• Lead platform capabilities (service mesh, API gateway, identity propagation, observability).
• Drive performance, capacity planning, and scalability across critical services.
• Set CI/CD, testing, and deployment standards for high‑frequency releases.
• Establish observability standards (logging, tracing, SLOs) and security alignment with zero‑trust.
