RavenVolt Inc, An ABM Company in Detroit, Michigan is seeking experienced Field Service Technicians to support installation, commissioning, testing, repair and maintenance of Microgrid Switchgear and Control Systems in commercial and industrial environments.

Candidates must have 5+ years of diesel and/or natural gas generator experience, be able to travel 50–70% overnight, pass background and drug screenings, and have strong English communication; EGSA certification preferred.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of commercial/industrial experience with diesel and/or natural gas generators, paralleling switchgear, and controllers.
• Ability to travel 50–70% overnight, Monday through Friday (minimal weekend travel).
• Pass a physical examination, background check, and drug screening.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• OEM training, manufacturers certifications, and/or EGSA certification preferred.

Aufgaben

• Perform inspections, field start-ups, commissioning, system modifications, preventative maintenance, operator training, and document all site visits.
• Conduct wiring checks to verify control power distribution and component operation using test equipment.
• Utilize PLC, HMI, and component software for system setup, operation, troubleshooting, and programming modifications.
• Verify proper operation of system components per contract documents.
• Verify communication circuits including Ethernet, Modbus, fiber, BACnet, and customer SCADA systems.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors to verify operation of generators, BESS, solar, ATSs, remote annunciators, and connected devices.
• Manage onsite third-party vendors to ensure startups or upgrades.
• Maintain detailed documentation including customer signoffs, trip reports, drawings, sequences of operation, and software/firmware versions.
• Understand functionality of all components within switchgear systems, including generators, controllers, ATSs, BESS, and solar.
• Make generator speed and voltage adjustments for proper synchronization and loading.
• Provide feedback to Quality Department on product or system issues.
• Review scope of work, submittals, schematics, wiring diagrams, sequences, and manuals prior to site visits.
• Manage costs related to onsite work, including travel and expenses.
